We want to enable live services on the web. Selling goods is now a solved problem, and there are great hosted shopping cart offerings out there. But selling live services remains a hassle for teachers, coaches, consultants, lawyers, etc. We want to solve that problem and enable experts to sell their live services.
The people
We're a small team of developers and designers based in San Francisco and Paris. We're passionate about technology, beautiful products and everything related to education and knowledge. We believe that online learning can be improved by being simple, beautiful, and turnkey.
The story
We started working on this project in 2009 with a very simple objective: making online live learning easy and effective.
We launched BlueTeach in 2010, an open community for anyone who wants to teach or learn online. BlueTeach's virtual classroom has soon become the teachers' favorite pick, and we have kept improving our technology since then, because we believe that the teacher-learner experience has to be centered in any education product. BlueTeach is Red Herring 100 Europe 2010 winner.
But since BlueTeach opened, we've had increasing demands from businesses and independents who want to open their own website to sell their services. That's why we decided to create a turnkey solution to create online schools, that we named with very much creativity... BlueTeach Pro ! We are currently in private beta and will be open on July 5th.
